I used to market sold out shows for a major music festival with headliners like John Legend, Lauryn Hill, The Roots, and I also co-founded the first fashion association in Canada.
That all might sound fancy, but both jobs were actually quite back-breaking. A little known fact is music marketing is equal parts creative and sweaty as you run around after artists and hang all forms of signage. Ask me sometime about a-frames and just watch me support my low back. :-)
Since those sweaty sign hanging days, albeit amazing and exciting times, I've discovered a passion for sharing truths, methods and systems with other entrepreneurs and creatives to bring order to developing their personal brand.
The real deal is I used to have major imposter syndrome…
Even when I was Marketing Director I was convinced my boss was going to fire me. Turns out that I just needed to believe in myself, and now I encourage others to do the same.
